Up for bid is this historic program from the 30th Anniversary of the Breeders' Cup, dated Saturday, November 2, 2013. Of historical significance was Mucho Macho Man's victory in the Classic. It marked the first time in Breeders' Cup history the Classic winner was trained by a female trainer (Kathy Ritvo). Every jockey who won their respective Breeders' Cup race autographed the program next to their entry. There are nine autographs total, with jockeys Ryan Moore and Martin Garcia signing twice because they each won two Breeders' Cup races. Please also note that Jose Lezcano signed the program for his ride on Wise Dan, even though John Velazquez was the actual jockey listed. Velazquez was injured earlier in the day and replaced by Lezcano. Autographs include Javier Castellano on Ria Antonia, Ryan Moore on Dank, Rajiv Maragh on Groupie Doll, Mike Smith on Mizdirection, Martin Garcia on New Year's Day, Ryan Moore on Magician, Martin Garcia on Secret Circle, Jose Lezcano on Wise Dan, and Gary Stevens on Mucho Macho Man. In addition to the program, winner also receives a signed COA documenting the provenance. I acquired the program directly from Jake Mullins, the Director of the Colors Room at Hollywood Park and Santa Anita from 1984-2014. The program is in excellent condition, with no writing whatsoever inside except for the autographs.
Winning bidder pays $11.95 for priority sh/hand/ins/tracking. Outside US, winner pays $74.95 for priority sh/hand/ins. Canada pays $47.95.
