This is an August 4, 1947 program for horse racing at Suffolk Downs in East Boston, Massachusetts. The track opened in 1935 and held its last race in 2019. Seabiscuit and many other famous horses raced there, and a few days before the races on this program Stymie became the first horse to earn more that $700,000 in one year.  The track also played host to a 1966 Beatles concert with 24,000 fans. The covers of the program are in good condition, but the pages are toned stained with rust from the staples. All but the last 3 races are heavily marked in pencil.
