1958 Harness Horse Racing Magazine The Horseman & Fair World. This issued covered the life of Ben White with a 2 page obituary as he passed at at age 85. White who along with Pop Geers was the top trainer and driver of the era. The Cover shows Ben winning the 1936 Hambletonian driving the Great Rosalind. Ben actually bred Rosalind! Covers the tracks racing during the period like Roosevelt, Maywood and Hazel Park - they are all gone now. Yes these were the glory days for the sport of Harness Racing. This is a nice copy - my personal copy with clean covers and complete. For those of you un-aware The Horseman & Fair World ceased publication in January 2021 ending 150 years of Publishing - very sad. I subscribed for nearly fifty years and although an expensive Publication if you followed the Sport it was something I always looked forward to each week. A chance to the collectors of these to add to their run and collection. There won't be anymore now. From my personal horse racing collection and not a recent find. E-mail if you have any questions.

hadwell Farm was established in 1985. Built on limestone-rich soil that is internationally known for nurturing Thoroughbred racehorses, Shadwell quickly became a world-class facility in Lexington. They stand Mohaymen by Tapit, Qurbaan by Speightstown and Tamarkuz by Speightstown.
Horsemanship is held in high regard, and the animals themselves descend from the best bloodlines in the world. For over 35 years, Shadwell Farm has been associated with a remarkable array of outstanding horses.
